11/11/11 11:11 P.M.

A needed follow up to the earlier 11/11/11 11:11 A.M. Two times for this time in this way, hence your opportunity for a second wish on this Veterans Day.

The photo in my earlier article illustrates one of the many spirals that occur as a a fraction of natures great designs and creations and pertains to a sequence known as fibonacci. Shortly explained it is a series of numbers determined by adding the original number to the sum such as as in 1 + 1 = 2, 2 + 1 + 3, 3 + 2 = 5, 5 + 3 = 8, 8 + 5 = 13, 13 + 8 = 21 and so on. It is summarized as F_n = F_{n-1} + F_{n-2},\!\, with the seed values being F_0 = 0,\; F_1 = 1. Are you snoring yet? Food for thought, or rather numbers for thought.

How long can a series continue before it breaks down or ends? Is there an inherent reason for each of us finding ourselves in the same habits, working the same jobs, seeing the same people, and ridiculing, assuming or judging from the same perspective? Cycles can be broken but to once again call back to an old saying, “people don’t change over night.” Yet, here the human race rests more peaceful than ever engaged in exponentially increasing levels of communication.

Going back to what I mentioned earlier the “shift in consciousness,” this is not a mystical, magical concept, though it can be if that is the frame in which you place the picture. Consciousness is thought, we use it every day when we make our choices. Yet, our choices change over time. A child’s desire to eat lots of candy and junk food will be tempered with age, an awareness to care for our decaying bodies. Conversely, an adults stagnate or rigid outlook can be refreshed as one harkens to youthful times of imagination and invincibility. That said, it is clear that we all change, grow up and often regress through sheer thought. It is within these bodies that our thoughts have continuing potential to evolve.

We are vessels of consciousness itself. Consider this element of “thought” as a tiny, miniscule measurable spec of light not unlike the bits of data that rest within our digital devices. After the body has run its course what happens to those sparks? Do they evaporate as if some magnifiscently creative candle had been doused or does this creative energy transform and exist in some unseen ether. Pondering thoughts such as these only add to the lights of our minds.

Speaking of light, earlier today I made my first hearty wish for “equality,” and the second must be for greater minds. In this age the art of communication is often short, brief exchanges that usually involve abbreviation, emoticons and exist far from earlier traditions of caligraphy. Yet, we are advanced! However, we still remain at war.

It is my opinion that war and controversy have existed for some time in order to spur growth of civilization. Competition encourages this and as we continue to compete for various resources on the face of the planet we excel within this timeless trend. However, a non-violent competitive balance has yet to be achieved for there are those of us who feel our morals, our minds or our gods remain superior to those of other cultures. Violence only begets violence and I dream of a time when humanity reaches an unsurpassed instance of clarity. In such an etherial thought, war will end.

There is no one with an absolute answer. And if there was such truth would be ineffable. Current populations place ongoing confidence or faith within a construct of ideals, machines, dogmas and institutions and such is not without merit. However, when each individual mind is inspired it only adds to our spreading, collective, global river of knowledge which no one mind can ever aspire to contain.

Good thing we are all one plus one plus one.

It is fortunate that we can, on this day, remember those who have given their service, sacrificed their lives and surrendered their minds and often hearts to an understood greater good. Such seeds that spread grow as a bright flower reaching for the sun,… and so shall we all in some future enlightenment.

Energy Work (re-released review)

Energy Work by Robert Bruce

Writers within the realm of metaphysics are often subject to dismissive comments from skeptics and non-believers alike. Such a position disallows for the benefits of energy practice. Certainly, as within any industry, there are those who simply seek to profit from the commercialization of hope, positive thoughts and the message of optimism. Yet, this truth does not invalidate the reality behind the exercises presented in this book.

An understanding of basic principles concerning quantum physics, a base level of physical intelligence and knowledge of the emerging sciences of both epigenetics and signal transduction brings new light to these often dubbed “new age” concepts.

Consider this simple technique, right now:

While seated I want you to focus your attention on your left knee. By this I don’t mean look down at your knee with your eyes. First rub your knee slowly in circular motion for about 10 seconds. Next, take an overview of how your knee feels. Be aware of the blood moving around under your skin, the density of the bone, the air surrounding the outside and the connection on all three levels. Now move your focus to your left big toe, wiggle it a little and draw all of your focus to this one area of your body. Did you notice a slight hum about these areas of focus or a slight increase in temperature?

This change, or “hum,” is due to a heightened level of concentrated awareness. Now, consider the quantum realm and that how in order to obtain any observable evidence regarding subatomic particles and their behavior, we must deal with the uncertainty principle. In this lies our understanding that the mere act of observation changes the behavior of that which is receiving our focus. Given the above example, one can rely upon relative intelligence to understand that our focusing on these isolated areas actually does cause biological effect on a cellular level which results in increased circulation, alleviation of tension and or reducing associated pains.

Bruce Lipton discuses related information in detail with his book The Biology of Belief and makes great argument for the influence of surrounding environments on biological makeup and the human potential to rise above our genetic heritage. His writings center on the aforementioned emerging sciences of epigenetics and signal transduction.

Just as a dancer or martial artist through practice develops their physical body awareness and physical body intelligence, anyone who so chooses can experience an increase in subtle body awareness or astral body intelligence. Everyone’s skill level evolves differently and is influenced by their own inhibitors.

Energy is not a uncommon subject. It is discussed in many forms of treatment including Reiki, acupuncture, quantum healing, etc. Here Robert Bruce offers an illustrated instruction to those seeking self-healing or additional forms of alternative medicine revolving around “Tactile Imaging Techniques.” As for my own experience, one day of engaging in his proposed practice resolved my fatigue better than any triple shot of mocha expresso ever has or ever will.

A number has surrounded my life with constant reoccurrence and what better day to discuss it than November 11, 2011, 11/11/11. I find it fascinating to hear others talk about similar recurring numbers in their life be it 3, 7, 8, and so forth. What are yours and have you been noticing them or other recurring elements in your life more frequently of late?

Perhaps, some have heard tale of a shifting in consciousness or caught conversation on the next step in human evolution with random individuals or that one friend that remains obsessed with fantasy or drawn to metaphysics. Some subscribe to this or that while others ridicule those who do subscribe to this or that and of course there are those that dismiss such subjects altogether.

Whether you choose to deny or subscribe to the fascination of life is simply that, a choice. They are no strangers. We make them one after another after another. People make the choice to eat chicken or only vegetables, families make the choice to go out to see a movie together or stay in when it’s cold, public figures make the choice to adopt a facade to sell and sometimes to later drop part of that facade. You make one, I make one and another one and another one and another one. I made a choice just a few nights ago to rant into the microphone on my phone for a while as I couldn’t sleep (that’s another story in and of itself). Here I attempt to explain some significance of this date showing one lining up after another. Forgive the syntax and grammar for I was a dreamy mind at the time:

The unity surpassing separations, separations of generations, religions, those grounded in difference of sexual orientation, race, once again religion or domination, denomination within religion and ethnic backgrounds, class, level of education, income. They should somehow land some cohesive tie after 11/11/11. It just shows that we never really connect to one another beyond a 1 on 1 basis and within a perfect trifecta of a one on one and one on one and another 1 on 1. We all stand the chance of being able to empathize if not directly through one another or through one another as couples, be it best friends, be it father son, be it mother daughter, be it cousin to cousin. There is a chance for understood empathy, relative empathy, relative emotional intelligence. Such thought could be a revolutionary, grounding concept to us humans.

The phrase “don’t judge a [person] until you’ve walked a mile in his shoes comes to mind,” alas, it’s just the rant of a young man who probably had one to many glasses of wine that night. But confessions and life rants aside let us return to the plain date. Did you or someone close to you ever have the fun little game or tradition where you made a wish at 11:11? I always did and sometimes still do, in fact it seems that might be why I decided to release these words at this specific time. I wish for acknowledged, legislated equality all across the board, period. Some will offer their arguments to the contrary and defend the “sanctity” of marriage or bash homosexuals all together in some bizarre, primitive way. Yet, talking anymore about such specifics would only add fuel to a topic that really should, at this point, be a non-issue.

So, I made my wish. I know if you identify as heterosexual it may seem as if it doesn’t involve you but we are all involved and connected in some way and anytime you let a hateful word slide about someone’s sexual orientation, race, class, etc. you just add unneeded kindle. That flame will burn for some time with our present outlook (which is getting better everyone!). Until it is as it should be I will continue to wish… and act… as one human… to another one.
